I know, how can people take this guy seriously? If, for example, someone were to liken all Christians to Nazis I'm sure there would be uproar in the press. And the religionists moan about some atheists getting all 'shouty'. Maybe some are getting 'shouty' to try and redress the balance? All I can say is at least I don't believe in a thousand year old book written mainly to control the masses. I also don't need some old guy in a robe lecturing me about good principles and the belief in a 'god', when the paedophile priests scandal is still ongoing, or the fact that he views that condoms can increase the problem of HIV[^]. :|

According to Kirk Durston, National Director, New Scholars Society: The most realistic figure for the Spanish Inquisition puts the total killed from AD1480 to AD1808 at up to 31,912. Finally, records indicate that the number of "witches" killed may be over 30,000. Some argue that records don't tell everything and suggest that maybe even 100,000 were killed. These three events, totaling over 264,000 killed, are thought to be the largest atrocities perpetrated by one or another form of Christendom. The Pope has been to Scotland today on a "state" visit and has annoyed me. Apparently atheism is something the Nazi's preached, ergo all Atheists are Nazi's: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11332515[^] ... and if people listen to the atheists/agnostics we're pretty much doomed. Sorry, but I'm really not in the mood to take lessons from the institution that brought us such enlightened concepts as the crusades, the inquisition, witch burning and the covering up of child abuse.
