The whole world should only be available in English. When I say English, I mean real English, not that simpilfied/Dumbed-down version that they use in the USA :-D

FaNtAsTiC... :jig: So I tried it into the VM and I liked it... Meanwhile and after receiving help from people from here I've been able to see: 1. It is considered an update so it replaces the ie8. 2. If someone wants to uninstall it it seems (see below *1) that it can be uninstalled without problems and that it goes back to ie8. 3. It is only in english. 4. It is amazingly fast. Of course I come from ie8. 5. It is nice as it is smaller... now my laptop wide screen shows more info. 6. It simply works. 7. It avoids the need of a search bar (and you can change your search provider from the address bar at the bottom). 8. Your downloads don't disturb you and it has a download manager... 9. When you try to paste a link in the edit view of CP it seems that it doesn't work... :(( Now I have it in the laptop working and I'm really thinking on putting it into the desktop... Well done MS... *1 http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-uninstall-internet-explorer-9-platform-preview/[^]

Not surprising. According to Chris anything related to the clipboard is a mess of nasty browser version specific hacks.

British English is no less dumbed down than the language our ancestors spoke. In the case of some peoples favorite buggaboo word gotten you're the ones who're guilty of trying to dumb down the language by removing the word from your vocabulary.

I acknowledge the point you are making, even if you're wrong. I think you believe that English is in the public domain, when infact it belongs to Her Majasty the Queen of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Canada, Austrialia, New Zealand..., and therefore it is the right of her subjects to improve upon the language. Now look what you've done. My English air of superiority has just gone into overdrive. :wtf:

Three points: 0) You're trying to defend the purity of the English language but "The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." 1) The French have a national organization to try and defend the purity of their language, do you really want to be seen as acting French? PS Linguists believe that the Quebecois dialect is actually closer to 18th century French than the Parisian dialect which gives you an idea of how effective the whole thing is. 2) If you wanted to maintain any control over how Americans use the language you missed your opportunity to do so when writing the Treaty of Paris[^]. When you failed to do so, we assumed control of the language spoken in the USA just as we did every other formerly crown asset within our borders. :-\

Why reinvent the wheel, when you can take something that's already there and improve it?

Have you thought, that we may be lulling your nation into a false sense of security? :~ Oh! look at the time, (you know the time in England from which ALL other countries set their clocks by). It's time for me to start the weekend. I've enjoyed the banter with you, Dan, have a good weekend yourself. TTFN

By that logic the Babylonians are better than either of us, since we can thank them for the time divisions on our clocks. :omg:
