    I just got this in my inbox: Hi NULL We have been updating our records and we noticed that your settings show you as wanting to receive all email from us in text-only format. This means all the email you receive from websites like smh.com.au, theage.com.au, Cuisine, and others, appears just like this one. In other words there is no formatting, colour or images. The alternative is to receive your email in HTML which means it will look more like a web page. You can see an example of an HTML email here: http://click.email.fairfax.com.au/?qs=3004c7d6f8a92c7d8d3dbba27610359a3194ef323ec2681280efe44be0cccca0 However you may wish to continue to receive email from us in text-only format. If you do then please click on the link below before 22nd October 2010 and we'll make sure we don't change your settings. But if would like to receive your email in HTML then you don't need to do a thing. We'll just update your account and you'll soon start to receive email in HTML. Click here to continue receiving your email as text only: http://click.email.fairfax.com.au/?qs=3004c7d6f8a92c7dbeb8375a9fd3691a64c823ed828dba4c850b44b157e43592 And if you ever want to change your settings manually, just visit the Fairfax Digital Member Centre by clicking on the link below and logging in with your password: http://click.email.fairfax.com.au/?qs=3004c7d6f8a92c7d9f590bd217912c53cb48843c88158f487303439f53f2f160 Kind regards Fairfax Digital Membership Team

        Why are you getting my friend's emails? Their last name is Null. I coach soccer against them and it does look funny when they put out a game schedule.

                I was wondering, which language converts [null].ToString() / Convert.ToString([null]) to "NULL", instead of "" or null exception. must be custom stuff like try...catch block. :-D (sorry, cant think of anything except C#)

                  But look at the brighter side, at-least you get educated on differences between HTML and Text. Isn't that nice. :-D

                                I just got this in my inbox: Hi NULL We have been updating our records and we noticed that your settings show you as wanting to receive all email from us in text-only format. you should count your blessings. When CG is null, all of the following will no longer work as before:

                                CG.SendWrongStuff();
                                CG.CancelFlight();
                                CG.DontCallBack();
                                CG.SendWrongInvoice();
                                CG.CutElectricity();
                                CG.ChangeSubscriptionData();
                                CG.DeliverParcelLate();
                                CG.DemolishRoof();
                                CG.InfestWithRodents();
                                CG.ConnectAtRandom();

                                OTOH you may end up pretty bored, your next post could well be: why being NULL sucks: because nothing happens anymore :)

                                          I got the same email yesterday, except that it said "Dear Peter" and the ridiculous query strings were different. Straight to the junk folder. Even if it is legit, I don't give a flying copulation for whatever their "membership" entails. Having said that, plain text is probably the better option for junk mail - less chance of embedded nasties.
