I've just heard the continuity presenter on the TV describe something as "a favourite ep". It's an episode, not an ep. Go back to school and learn to finish sentences.

I have CDO, it's OCD with the letters in the right order; just as they ruddy well should be

Forgive your enemies - it messes with their heads

But as Bill Gates would point out, those 500 milliseconds saved by saying "ep" instead of episode will, ultimately, save billions of dollars in TV broadcasting time! Marc

It turns out that this is irritating shorthand for repeat.

Ah! So they actually said 'rep' and you've been lying to us all. For shame O'Hanlon, for shame.

They don't say 'Repeat' anymore, it is 'Another Chance to Enjoy' or 'A Recap Episode' or 'Season Catch-up'.

Yes, ellipsis and elision are disgusting.
