Recommendation - UK Recruitment Agent
-
Any recommendations from UK based guys...it's approaching "that time"! Not really interested in Monster Miners - looking for someone to actually do the hard work of filtering the wheat from the chaff...if they won't do that, I might as well just get on the phone to companies myself! Recommendations by consultant name would be particularly useful rather than just an agency. Cheers guys.

You're unlikely to find someone. The recruitment company's bill is paid by their client organisation, not the candidate, so, unsurprisingly, their focus is the organisation, not the individual who is looking for a job.

Thats unfair, I am sure that there is a dedicated recruitment agent out there, just because I personnally have never encounted them, or anybody I know, or anybody online. Does not mean they there isnt one out there.
You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start

Indeed. Hence the use of the word 'unlikely' rather than 'impossible'.

They are probably sharing the office with the honest politician.
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

From personal experience this was the only way to get even a telephone interview. I tried a number of agencies (national and local) in the Surrey area a few years ago and found them (with one exception) to be useless or dishonest or both.
Just say 'NO' to evaluated arguments for diadic functions! Ash

This is not true! How should recruiters get their candidates? How should they get in contact? Recruiters need candidates. Call them, tell'em what you're looking for. Don't underrate yourself, set up a price and be worth it. Recruiters know jobs, on which you didn't even know the company! regards, Torsten
I never finish anyth...

Really? You know of agencies that charge candidates? Or agencies that don't charge the companies?

Cheers - I was leaning towards doing this again (it's how I've found jobs in the past). It's a real shame - my first "proper" job was found by a guy by the name of Marcus Francis from RealIt Recruiting - a really positive experience all round, found me the type of job I wanted rather than sending me to interviews he just happened to have on his books, very knowledgable and even got me a little extra in the salary negs... Unfortunately he seems to have gone on to "bigger and better things" (Not surprised at that one), and the "comporable" person RIT recommended was, how shall I put this...um...not quite up to the same standard... Ah well, Yellow pages is is then!
