I'm looking for a card (or USB device) that will capture HD input. All I can find are cards (and USB blocks) that use Red-White-Yellow jacks, not the RGB ones, or HDMI. My Hauppage TV tuner uses coax cable input (lo-def), and HD-over-air input. Note: no signals in my area.

I need an app that will automatically deliver a new BBBBBBBBaBB (beautiful blonde bimbo brandishing bountiful bobbing bare breasts and bodacious butt) every day. John Simmons / outlaw programmer

I believe that only HDMI will do what you want. I did a google search for "hdmi video caputure", and there are some interesting links right at the top of the first results page.

You would be looking for one of these then... AverMedia AVerTV HD DVR[^] I should also point out that if it is HD signal you are wishing to view and have HD satellite then the type of TV card you seek is DVB-S2 compatible.

That is a nice card. I see they also have an external box. Thanks

Hauppauge do a USB HD devcie with component input here[^]. With HDCP you can't just capture HDMI I'm afraid. What sources aare you trying to capture?

The HDMI port doesn't have HDCP, otherwise it looks good.

I'm trying to record from my cable box/VCR/PS3. Before I got HD, I used to record from my ATI card in whatever res/format I wanted. I no longer have that card, and I can't seem to do that with my Hauppage TV card. No way to plug in RGB, just analog. It also can't record the digital channels the cable box has. That HD PVR box looks nice, and I wouldn't have to rip out a card to use it.

Yeah I never tried the right search terms. I was focused on RGB.
