It has been 8 days(6 working days), i am on this newly assigned project. I have a machine with dual core-1gb ram and no admin rights. All i can do, is surf with IE7, which is pretty slow, slow opening new tabs or refreshing. IE7 sucks. I feel suffocated now, with other browsers missing. No Visual Studio. No other IDE. No admin rights. I feel like trapped in an Closed Well with IE. What options do i have with WebWasher proxy blocking most of websites?

Welcome to my shitty world. I just found out that NO ONE is allowed to burn cd's anymore...security, security, security.blah, blah, blah. If I want to backup anything, it has to go out on the LAN. I had to sell my soul to the devil just to get admin rights to my dev box. A lot of security shit is going down here now that stupid ass Wikileaks is around and kickin'. If you work for yourself or for a "small" company count your blessings. I have over 90,000 employees working in my company. One jerk off can ruin it for everyone.

Same thing happened to me years ago, I think it's so they can claim to have lots of people working on the project.

Apparently Code Project still works, so what's the problem?

                    I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I suppose I'm lucky then... We have somewhere in the vicinity of 12,500 employees in our company, but thankfully devs still have admin rights to their boxes.

                      I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.
