Thank you to all who gave me advice about the purchase of a Kindle for Mrs Yoda. I'm pleased to say that she's delighted with it, and it's already stocked up with a selection of books for her. The downside, as far as I can see, if I want to read any of these books then I either have to buy them myself or I have to read them on her Kindle - damned DRM system.

I'm not a stalker, I just know things. Oh by the way, you're out of milk.

You can read them on Kindle for the PC. I have two Kindle's, along with two copies of Kindle for the PC and one Kindle on Android all linked to a single Amazon account.

There's the problem though - if I got a Kindle, we'd have to share one account for this (and we like to keep the accounts separate for things like birthdays and Christmas).

It is a little weird to have Nora Roberts' novels come up as a recommendation... :wtf:

Nope! http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200549320 Also you can have a shared account which allows you to share upto 5(?) devices.

Don't think of it as redundant copies. Think of it as good karma for keeping authors well fed and off the streets at night. :-D

Didn't I read somewhere that Amazon would be allowing sharing ebooks ?

                      Watched code never compiles.
