The rumor I heard last month was that it was expected January-ish. But from what they were saying, the recently released public beta was expected earlier but running a little late so that might push out the final, too. cheers, steve

There was also a rumour that it was due to be released alongside the launch of Windows .NET Server, putting the release all the way back to April. It's pretty much in the hands of the marketing department apparently, so any announcements should appear courtesy of a MS Press Announcement. -- Paul "If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." - David Brent, from "The Office" MS Messenger: paul@oobaloo.co.uk Sonork: 100.22446

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.

I'm gonna show my ignorance on Everett here, but... Tom, I just bought your VC.NET Bible (haven't cracked it open yet...really looking forward to reading it)...do you think the changes in Everett warrant a second edition or any other such updates? - DanielD (who's spent good money back in the days on ATL books intended for VC5 and was quite lost trying to work with VC6...that'll teach me to buy books and then put off reading them forever)...

Remember that this book is primarily an MFC book and not a .NET C++ managed extensions book. However, I do have a few chapters at the end of the book on managed extensions that will probably need to be updated for Everett. Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible
