Yoiks: now I feel old: still vaguely recall a TRS-80 or Tandy 2000 I had that had 2 5.25" floppy drives! My friends A & B. Luxury!

Yes, I had an early Commodore 64 that used a cassette tape top load and run programs from.

I've stopped doing that when I realized that, in every single instance, if you use a partition resizing utility[*] and it's gotta reboot the machine to do the job, the A and B drive letters are gone after rebooting (although it's just a matter of remapping them with the disk manager applet). OTOH, that was before I moved to 7...maybe that's been fixed. [*] Even if you're not touching drives A or B

One of my first computers was an Amstrad 128k, a whole 128KB of RAM! http://www.soxlamps.com/cpc6128_files/Amstrad_CPC_6128.png[^] I felt priviliged because my friends were still loading their games from tapes....you'd sit there watching a loading screen as the picture slowly drew itself to the screech of the casette, only for it to crash at 95% I learnt to program BASIC on that :)
