Ok, I wonder if it might be my battery. Although I am hoping it's a software problem because then the next update will fix it.

Could be. I've had some "happiness" with a nokia E71. It crashed randomly. Most times imediately after I finished a phone call. It was a work phone. So when I got my hands on a new battery I switched it. No luck. Changed the phone completely. It was new. The service guys couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. It wasn't the software either. Some "crippled pice of hardware on the circuits" my best guess. Hope it's not the same for you especially if it's your personal phone. :)

I've lost the ability to send and receive emails on my E71X - but I think it is because AT&T no longer supports XPress mail and I haven't found a replacement. AT&T own email stopped working shortly after they migrated everything over to yahoo and then the work email stopped working a few months later. I can still get to my messages thru the browser, but still :sigh:

Wow. Bummer. Fortunately for us there's no AT&T in Europe or very limited. Where I'm from both Orange and Vodafone rock(in a decent city not in villages). The competion between them is very tight=> good for us the consumers.

If it's anything like the Samsung Focus, you can make phone calls but with a little more effort than with a normal phone. Level of difficulty is about the same as for an iPhone.

Seems to be fairly similar as it's the same phone - the Omnia in the UK is marketed as Focus in the States. The AMOLED screen is superb.

Not quite. The Omnia has more sober design and a metal back cover, while the Focus is round and made of plastic. Apart from that, the specs are similar. http://wmpoweruser.com/wp7-device-hub/[^]

Welcome aboard!. I would have bough the Omnia 7 too, but Vodafone doesn't sell it here. Instead I got the LG Optimus 7, but I love it. It's not quite as good looking as yours, but I got 16 GB of storage and physical buttons.
