I'm sitting here at work drinkning a Stella Artois.

Inbev tries to sell it as an upclass beer, but a lot of belgian drinkers (including myself) don't go for that. It's still better than foreign beer though.

Now that's a brand I have seen occasionally in stores here. Is it decent? By the way, Cave Creek Chili Beer is now made in Mexico, by Tecate, and I can no longer get it at Walgreen's Drug Store. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted; I suppose I could just stuff a chili pepper down the neck of a Tecate and let it soak for a few minutes... :sigh:

It's about as standard as a lager can be. It doesn't stick out in any direction. It's decent, but won't make you excited. So it's less bland then Heineken, but basically the same aiming group.

For now yes, but without a government for more than 200 days. The situation doesn't look very promising for the future of Belgium :~

I find Peroni quite tasteless, personally. Still far better than Stella, though. However, help is at hand[^]. I can personally recommend the Mixed Belgian Beer Styles[^] and A Cidery Dozen[^] packs - I had a delivery of them a couple of weeks back. Dominion Bitter is still donkeys piss (or at least it was 20 odd years ago, the last time I tried it). Beer tasting medals are like wine tasting medals, completely worthless. Some of the worst wines I have tasted were awarded all sorts of medals and they were still crap. In 197... counts backwards on his fingers oh bugger a long time ago I drank a couple of Maoris under the table in Wellington, having just arrived from Sydney, a few months later I couldn't do it having acclimatised to the crap beer.
