What's the best part about Thanksgiving? I vote for the cranberry sauce that stays in the shape of the can! :-D

Mmm, cranberry jelly is tasty... but sauce made from whole cranberries is better! In the currently over-supplied market for cranberries, it's possible to pick them up bulk for quite good prices if you know a grower... ;) My favorite though? Start with some of my Grandma's homemade bread, layer on turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Top off with another piece of bread. Best sandwich *ever*! :-D

Eating until you are ready to burst, then having dessert. We get a "Peking Duck" style turkey that is to die for. The skin is nice and crisp, the meat is well flavored and moist, and there is almost no fat on the entire bird. Smoked turkey is also really good, if the person doing the smoking takes his time and doesn't rush things.

Wasn´t the Thankgiving holiday a holiday of the 'native americans'? (That´s why I believe it is a original american holiday!);) Try this @ home. (B&B)
