Don't you think he is worried enough about his wife without you inventing a health scare just for him? If you can't play nice, get back in your box.

So, my wife is diabetic and does bugger all about it. She is on more meds than my 80 year old grandmother who has dementia. She changed her meds recently, and found she had no sense of taste. The doctors said she just has to live with it, and she HAS been losing weight b/c she can't taste things anyhow. So, I am in Dallas right now. I go home on Sunday, meaning I get home on Tuesday. I get an email that Donna is going to hospital as she can't feel or move her mouth. My 14 yo daughter was my conduit of information, so it was sketchy. I finally got her on the phone, she said she was fine, I went to bed. I got up to emails saying that they tested for blood clots, that I needed to call home when I got them, and that she has been admitted. They have my email, and it's 1 am, so I won't call until 6 or 7, their time, it won't change anything to wake someone up in the middle of the night, but it's frustrating.

Last night? I'm confused.... I thought they did that on a daily basis. You'd think he'd be used to that by now.

Man, I hope she get's alright soon. And yes, it is frustating to see how many pills you need to take, no thinking on the syringes X| , I'm diabetic too (and afraid of needles!). I don't know the exact situation of your wife but, I think, the best you can do is supporting her, with her diet, with her pills, at least for me it was difficult to get the idea and at first I didn't control it, so i ended up with high blood pressure, lost sensivity on my feet and being always in bad mood, but my wife has always been there reminding me of the good things we have, our children a ourselves and that you need to fight for it, as nothing is granted and nothing is deserved in this life, it's always a fight, but man does it really worths it!

There must be so much happening in the field of medication. I never knew just vitamins and omega 3 pills can be used to treat a mentally impaired one.

I hope she's doing well and that they didn't find anything serious. :( I'm diabetic myself. I can't say I know exactly what she's going through, but I had some pretty scary glucose levels when I went to the hospital in 2001. *shudder* Flynn
