I keep learning all "the new stuff" and am currently doing a project with asp.net/c#/mssql. I'm also curious - for those of you who age discriminate: who, what, when, where and WHY? See, this is one of the reasons I like CP... There are mature people here, not a bunch of teenagers semi-communicating with "leetspeak" or "txtspeak"... And even when we DO have teenagers here, they tend to be more mature than their kin. Me, I'm a bit over 30... Programming for 26 years now, if you count a little kid writing guess-the-number and ASCII art games in Atari BASIC... Professionally for 14, full-time in the financial industry for 7. So definitely not one of the oldest, but apparently not the youngest either.

We used to have a demographics page that displayed all that cool information, but I haven't seen it in a while. I'm just a youngish 56, coding on and off for about 35 years now. I haven't done it professionally since 1986, but I still prefer building my own tools over buying someone else's idea of how I should do things on a computer.

"When I'm 64..." comes two weeks tomorrow. First punched code in 1964. And I'm SURE I'm not the oldest. I have a couple of names in mind, (***** and ****) but (showing the wisdom of my years) decided redaction is the better part of valour. ;P I know there are other grandparents in CP, but these days many people get to that status earlier in life than I did. I'm over 60 and I've been paid for programming since 1971. I'm also a college student again, and still programming.
