In my blind anger over a spam article from one of my competitors here on Code Project (here[^]), I nuked it sort of accidentally by pressing the "Rollback" button in the revisions tab. I was expecting it not to work to be honest, but I couldn't resist pressing it, so I did. And presto, now I nuked it... rolled back all the way to the first revision or so which looks rubbish (mission accomplished I guess). So, I'm reporting myself to the police now. Was I supposed to be able to do the rollback thing, or is this a CP bug? Anyways, someone higher up please undo my mess up. ;P

Well by posting a link to his article in the Lounge, you may be righting your own wrong.

Then again, maybe posting it in "Site Bugs and Suggestions" would have been even better... ;)

Better post this in the site suggestions / bugs forum where you can request Chris to undo your undo'ing :) Looks like the revisions are still there (all 21 of them) so shouldn't be to much trouble for him.

Just out of curiosity as I haven't downloaded the source and looked deeply into the article in question, but why would you claim it to be spam? On the surface that doesn't appear to be the case?

                  I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Admittedly I may be a tiny bit biased. There is actual free content, but the value is so little that in practise you would need more features and that's where they'll kindly tell you to please have a look at their commercial product or contact them to discuss the options. They can't make the article hugely useful anyway, because they would cut into their own flesh, so because they sell commercial CAD products they cannot do otherwise but give away a teaser.

I was wondering the same. It does not look like spam at all. :~

Yeah, but that does not excuse what you did. You clearly abused the site by doing this sort of thing. I reckon Chris should raise the bar, because you are a silver author and yet you were able to damage an arbitrary article. Maybe that needs to be raised to Gold and higher members who I hope will behave with a little more maturity.
