For the past few months I've been pretty much flat out trying to get everything ready for the next version of our main product. Since the new year it's been particularly busy, and to be honest it was beginning to hurt. I honestly think the bit of my brain normally dedicated to coding has now had enough and shut down in protest until it receives sufficient lubrication to reboot. Heck, I even did some hardware this week (OK, so it was only plumbing) and that's just not normal for me. Fortunately, suitable lubrication is close at hand - we've an ACCU South Coast[^] gathering tomorrow night at 7:30pm in the Goat & Tricycle[^] in Bournemouth, and I am rather tempted to try to make it at least a significant way along the available handpumps (there are 10 of them, 5 regulars and 5 guests...). Any CPians in the vicinity are of course welcome to come along and join in.:beer::beer: With any luck Wednesday will be a fairly quiet day! Once this year's ACCU Conference[^] is over, I fully intend to take some time off if I can. In the meantime, the conference involves even more beer, and this year's conference t-shirt design[^] is kinda cool. :)

Is it fitting that when you click the ACCU South Coast link, it displays an error about a module not found? Professionalism in programming huh? ;)

That pretty much sums it up. It's been crazy, and I could sure do with some downtime. We're getting there though - all being well by the weekend we'll be into the "uploading stuff and tweaking website text" phase and I can ease off a bit.

What you just did reminds me of how the news media can take a story and totally twist it around. I was recently at an event where the main speaker talked about a subject, and when I read about it later in the paper the quotes were so misconstrued and taken out of context it appeared that the speaker was saying the exact opposite of what was actually said.

Same thing happened to me, but now it's fine. Maybe it was having temporary problems or needed to be loaded twice.

I'd agree, but it's obviously not designed by a programmer. I mean there is a dot at the top left of the A. What sort of arts major did that? What were they thinking: "Oh, better not make it out of just zeroes and ones - it'll look wierd."
