That's why it would be cool to have the sources, to modify all that :) And Kazaalite is really the p2p interface.

Odd how much faster Kazzalite is than Kazaa. Using Kazaaa the searches took forever and downloading was a PITA. On the other hand in the last 5 minutes I have downloaded three files I wanted totalling 4 megs! Pretty damned good for my line.

Intel, and you're gonna think this is wierd when you hear it, has released a set of class libraries for .NET that they have called the Intel P2P Accelerator kit. I tried to download it again last night, but the site was undergoing some maintenance. I'll try again and get you the link. With that, we could set up a server somewhere that just manages connections and then we could have our own CodeProject P2P network.

Because many users of Kazaa network use now the lite version, Kazaa may loose a lot of its diversity and its success it has now if it tries to counter this "piracy". And it may give an opportunity to a new challenger :cool:
