      They would have failed no matter what tech they used or who else popped up in the biz (or didn't). MySpace always looked like the pages were designed by 13 year olds; specifically 13 year olds with no talent whatsoever.

      There is water at the bottom of the ocean. My Mu[sic] My Films My Windows Programs, etc.

          MySpace stuck with SQL server and only added memcached caching at a late stage. Facebook built a noSQL database system geared exactly to support facebook with hundreds of millions of users. Something like Cassandra could be built with .net, but nobody is doing it, just like .net doesn't have a CMS system with an active user community like wordpress. There isn't any technological reason that there is more innovation in the linux world, but there is.

                  Good team can convert a business idea to a software solution and that company won't fail until that team leave them.. CEOs can come and go managers can come and go but not the CORE TEAM.. It looks to me that these people have started it with a wrong team..
