Office Dress Codes

I think it is bothering my boss to no end that I am wearing my shirt outside my pants today (no clients today). He won't say anything to me about but I know he wants to. I can get away with it because I produce and I work very long hours most of the time. I'm very lucky this way but I won't push the boundaries. Now those of you who get to work from home in your pajamas and/or skivvies then my hats off to you. :)
Company I'm at have a nice dress code. I can wear jeans if I want and I don't need to tuck my shirt in. Couple of times a week I dress in casual trousers as it's nice to have a separation between office and home attire.

I wear jeans, shorts, hawaian shirts, jeans with holes in, t shirts, hiking boots, biker boots, dont shave, put my feet up on the desk drink coffee and go for a fag when I like. I cant think why any code development env should be any different.

Its just continental Europe. People are very relaxed here. :) (Should a kernel dev wear more formal clothes then?)

I don't think your grasp of the English language is really that strong. What I said was not sexual in nature at all. However, the act of spitting stuff up out of one's mouth seems to make you think of things in the oral arena...very interesting...

You missed the joke icon. On a serious note though: My grasp of the English language may not be strong, but it is, in fact, much stronger when compared to the linguistic skills of an average American, and some Englishmen.

Not too bothered other than will not wear a tie. Most of the people in the building wear suits and ties - I will not (such a rebel). No one has said a word and some of my colleagues have stopped wearing them. Hurrah for common sense! What sort of a moron wears a brightly colored napkin around their neck all day?

What irritates me about office dress codes is how when there is an official one, a certain gender will still show up in Capri's, flip-flops and t-shirts but everyone is too worried about a certain type of lawsuit to say anything.

I took off my shirt about an hour ago to let it dry (coffee accident). No strange looks yet (though I am wearing an undershirt). I once had a coworker who spent a little time at work one day wearing only his boxers.

The craziest thing I ever saw was year's ago a very pretty girl came in to see her boyfriend and she was wearing a very, very shear sun dress with black panties and bra. All the guys in the office came up with excuses to wander over to her boyfriend's office to get a peek. Crazy but definitely a good crazy. :)
