For those interested in creating a program for a talking/responding computer. Here are is one more link to help you. http://espeak.sourceforge.net/ And here are supposedly a couple of talking responding programs online Do they work really? I do not think so. The website claims they are learning. If they are learning then if you ask a question and give it the answer. It should give you the answer when you ask the same question. It does not, instead it says too often. Are you kidding? So I believe it is fake but you check it out and let me know ok? thanks www.codeproject.com/KB/vista/SAPISophia.aspx Here is our very own SophiaBot. I think its a fake. I wish there was a way to prove its not. And if it is real or not. I hope whoever is creating it will understand. No insult intended. www.computerhope.com/zero This is another one that I also feel is fake. The price on it alone makes me think its fake but There are many more reasons I think so. www.voxeo.com/prophecy/?_kk=voice%20xml&_kt=5901f2d5-31c0-4cd7-ae07-08a0bfc9a33f&gclid=CMyYlevD9KYCFQkSbAodsTyDCA I have tried them all or at least the ones I could find. Please someone. Give us a real talking/responding computer program for our computers

Well for a start you are talking about 2 very different things. Voice recognition and voice synthesis for speaking and listening and an AI that responds intelligently using the program.

You mean like the ones you see in the films? I think you probably have to break in to a secret location in Hollywood and copy their memory banks onto a floppy disk; it usually only takes about 5 seconds. But be careful not to press the "start an explosive chain reaction" button, that's the big red one marked "start an explosive chain reaction". ;)

You forgot to warn him to watch out: the console will explode! Why do Starfleet fill their consoles with Hi-ex? Surely the Health and Safety officer must have said "Hang on, do we really need this?"

If such a program exists, why are you unable to find it? Such an important application would be well publicised. So, if you want one, you'll have to write it yourself. As I said, when it happens everyone will know about it.
