Only in the USA apparently. In Europe, we are revered as sex-gods.

Gawd that put a vision of a "Programmer Blow Up Doll" in my head. X| And the useful bit was in the same place as the sheep blow up doll!

Old girlfriend from high school friended me on Facebook recently. Haven't spoken to her in 20+ years. She asked me what I'm doing now. Told her I'm a computer programmer...that was 2 months ago...never heard from her again... Seriously, do us programmers have a disease or something? Next time I'm going to say I'm an international spy who drives a Maserati...

Then there's really no loss here is there? Un-friend her and move along.

That's a normal pattern for Facebook. Many people want to have as many "friends" as possible and they friend everyone they can find but never talk to them. On the other hand when she asked what you were doing and you replied did you end your reply with a question like "What are *you* doing now" or did you drone on about yourself for paragraphs and never keep the conversation going? :)

I know it's an obvious question but...have you tried to contact her? maybe now that she made the first move, doesn't want to look desperate and is waiting for you to take the next one....how do I know? only God knows how many times I screwed it like this....later on I learned about this, sometimes from the same girls, so I'll never forget that they are as nervous and excited about relationships(or freebies) as us :-D

Of course you also have to keep in mind that many people only check their facebook every few months. Check her page, if she's updated many times since you replied then defriend her, if she's had no activity she probably just hasn't read your reply yet.
