Friends even plan ahead booking time off with me on Saturdays but making sure there is enough time so I can pop into work and do what needs doing. :) And I am sure there are plenty of other CPians who work many a Saturday.

hey paul u know in cape town i used to sometimes be in a meeting with a client on a friday afternoon and it would be blazing hot outside and all and i'd say"guys can we do this on monday cos the sun is shining and the surfs up?" and usually they would all agree and that would be that i wonder what would happen here in nyc (assuming there was beaches and surf)? heh

Me? Not a chance! When I started with my current client, they needed software to start a business, and they needed it fast. We moved the project to the director's house, I moved into his house, and we worked 10 hour days 7 days a week for months. Then after launching the software, we moved backed to the office and work most Saturdays and Sundays. I've had enough, and will now only work weekends if its a special occcasion, such as an upgrade or something that requires downtime.
