Why wait? Apparently I've been told that some jackanapes has uploaded the first episode to a bit-torrent site[^] for downloading, if you were to feel so inlcined. Which, I hasten to add, I don't. That is , I don't feel inclined: will wait patiently like the good little drone that I am to watch a program partially funded by my licence fee that I can't watch for another week. :mad:

Didn't seem like it to me. It was mentioned in various articles about the return of Torchwood. But it does suck I have to wait too. I'm hoping Netflix picks it up sooner than Comcast. I'm certainly eager to learn why they moved it. And since American's are usually portrayed as trigger-happy in all our shows I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be some supernatural A-Team, considering that Captain Jack is also known as The Face (of Boe). Or at least that is hinted at. :)

If you pay the license fee, I can see no moral reason *not* to download it! Now, about me, who paid the license fee for years with nary a thing to watch, except people kicking a ball about whilst paid by me... Now I live abroad, could I consider myself as getting value for 2004's license fee by downloading? Hmmm.... Iain.

Well, I am a little disappointed that it seems they are moving to the US but it was still pretty good. Definitely an intro to the series that will let those that haven't seen it before not to be left behind Gwen and jack are still in it, but it looks like everything else will be changing. Looking forward to ep 2 but reserve judgment until I see if it goes all American on us.

My better half didn't get into Torchwood at the beginning. Is the new season viable for people to start watching, assuming they know only the good Doctor? Iain.

Yes I think so- there's lots of opportunity for the background to be explained to new people as the episode unfolds...
