Help! What To Wear On A First Date?
-
A few months ago, I met a girl on the internet. We chatted and played online games. I slowly began to love her. I think I deeply fell in love with her. But I am a very shy boy. Yesterday I plucked up courage. Made her to go to cafe with me on this Saturday. I was a little nervous. After all, this is my first date with girl. I know that the first date with the girl, should give her a good impression, so I need have to dress up. I deliberately bought a few pieces of clothes. But I do not know which one to choose. I am worried if I dress badly, she won't love me. 1. part one 2. part two Can you give a advice ?

And call this a very clever advertisement. Cleverer than usual, though.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying, but if she's really going to not like you purely because of a shirt (assuming that the shirt is clean and ironed, no inappropriate slogans etc)... I have met girls who essentially admitted that they wouldn't date anyone who wore less than an Armani suit and had a gold rolex... there are words for girls like these!!

I haven't visited the links (I am onsite)... anything in particular that links this post back to them?

That's a long, slender limb... Those are some really ugly shirts that no one I've ever met would consider wearing to dig ditches in the yard, let alone in public. X|

That's thinking out of the box, but now you think about it the more I see it is.

I don't think so, if I understand your meaning. They are for a particular product on a particular page. I think they'd have to get site traffic out of their server logs to figure out that they've got a lot of hits from CodeProject. The person who posted it; 2 posts total. One here and one in another forum with exactly the same wording except for the names of the links. Member since July 25. And this is how he introduces himself to a new forum? Not very typical behavior. Something about the wording made me suspicious. Anyway, now that I'm writing this reply, I've done a search on the phrasing and there are 12 more posts just like it; answer.yahoo.com, planetxbox360, psx-scene, and so on. Interesting. Same two links to the same two garments.

Maybe they are the control group for the marketing experiment. You know. Shirts so bad that no one would deliberately send someone to look at them?

  That's certainly possible. Nobody has ever claimed that Marketing people are smart, though there have been several Marketing campaigns intended to sway opinion on that matter. To the best of my knowledge, though, none of those campaigns was successful, except among the extremely gullible, and Marketing executives.

I pull out ANY t-shirt/shirt, and ANY jeans/trousers and wear them daily (whether to work, or to a date). I cannot believe someone seeking fashion advice from me. But even by my tastes, both shirts you've chosen look bad. I know I'm not helping here, but this isn't a C++ programming question, so what would one expect from me? :)

come on - it's a woman! They are able to dislike you because of the shirt. Especially nerd shirts.

clean underwear to start.... Append; Now that's been said. the 1st shirt. It's a Casual date, she's gamer girl and likely likes you for your personality in game ( which, if your like me, is you outside of game.. minus the tanking and DPS spirit). 2nd shirt is too redneck ( or "outlaw coder" (cheap shot)) if you will. As for "love", you have to "level up" to that. show her your feelings and "be" the guy for her by personality and charm/mez (and I don't mean 1hd crushing weapons). Yes am a bitta gamer as well. Have a good date man :)

I have one LAS remaining. You could wear that.

That sort of woman will just end hating you later when she finds out you are a nerd. All dressing falsely will do is waste your time.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius
