Are we feeling a bit...... SUPERIOR? As long as people aren't actually flashing their junk in my food, I don't care what they do/don't wear to the office.

I don't care if it's the same or not. There's simply no need to wear inappropriate dress to work.

We have a dress code at work. No inappropriate messages on T-Shirts. No visible Cleavage. No bra straps hanging out, etc. Very conservative. It doesn't sound like this lady violated anything. Maybe it was your imagination that got the better of you. You couldn't see her nickles, could you? BTW - Why can't us older folks enjoy a little good-looking gals. It's the really young, hot ones I don't want to go parading around. (NOT) :-O

I fail to see the inappropriateness.

I didn't see that lady, so I can't say it for sure. However, it has bothered someone enough to come to the lounge and rant about. That makes me think that it was rather slimy.

I go to office to do my work. I don't want to see girls wearing see-through shirts there. There's simply no excuse for such slimy behaviour, and they should know that there's a time and place for everything. They're (the young ones are) welcome to take my phone number and call me later in the evening, but they shouldn't bother while I work. My code generates enough runtime errors as it is. The fact that it was an old cow makes it even worse. X|

I saw a female cow-orker (not one I know) wearing a white shirt that wasn't so much translucent as transparent with a flesh colored undershirt. That's appropriate for going clubbing, not working in the office. This person appeared closer to 55 than 25 and doesn't have the young and stupid excuse for not knowing better. X| :sigh:

Probably the most inappropriate thing here is the ageism and sexism in the comments! Gee can't believe I'm being PC...... The argument goes if you don't like don't look...... If the office doesn't haven't a code then what she wears is fine, although I suspect the office will have at least an unwritten code. If offended mention to the manager, although weighup whether your co-workers will appreciate the removal of the distraction!
