      Check the options in the software you're using to burn the mix - many have some sort of volume normalization feature built in (even if it's hidden away in an Options page somewhere). Alternately if you're burning MP3s, use MP3Gain[^] to analyze and normalize the set before burning them. Oh, and congratulations!

                        And if you have the option, normalize the peaks, not the RMS. That way, the songs that are supposed to be quiet-ish won't sound like they're being performed by a marching band.

                        It always itches for the first week or so. My Mu[sic] My Films My Windows Programs, etc.

                          Check the options in the software you're using to burn the mix - many have some sort of volume normalization feature built in (even if it's hidden away in an Options page somewhere). Alternately if you're burning MP3s, use MP3Gain[^] to analyze and normalize the set before burning them. Oh, and congratulations!

                                  thank you! I'm using the CDBurnerXP software and I've not found anything that fits my needs there... :sigh:
