Not any more I dumped them quite a while back. If I ever need a phone again will probably just get a cheap prepaid.

The problem with borrowing money from China is 30 mins. later you feel broke again.

We used prepaid for a number of years, now a minimum contract got me a smart phone which makes an excellent reader, which means the blasted phone does not get left at home anymore.

Have a USB cable but it is just for charging. :~ I have Googled and found this is a frustration for most users.

I am wondering why you are blaiming the phone company and their 'evil ways' then. They did not trick you into buying the phone. You were asked if you want to take pictures and they provided that phone. As someone who is in a tech field (I assume you are because you are here on CP), you should understand that those pictures do not just magically appear on your computer. So, you who has the no data plan and decided to go with a basic phone (that has a camera) is now having issues with not getting the pictures off the phone at a 'good rate' Now if you were my grandma or someone that is not so up to date in the tech world one could sympothize, but it is still your fault. Ignorance does not mean that the one who sold you it is at fault. If you buy a car that gets 5mpg and has a tank of that holds 1 gallon its not the salesman's fault you can't make it to work on a full tank of gas, its yours for not understanding what you purchased does not meet your needs. Now if you said to the salesmen "I need a cheap, easy, and quick way to get the pics off the phone onto my PC", and he replied with something that is not true it is their 'evil' fault.

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.

Personally I do not go into a store with a check list. I went in for a problem as the phone was not ringing for calls but would notify me of voice mail.

If I could get a decent plan I would sign up but haven't found one yet.

Yeah I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but would have liked to be able to snap a fairly decent pic. Oh well I bought a Nikon to do that and it takes awesome photos. Will be taking another month long adventure in a month or so and am looking forward to taking some awesome pics during the trip.

Just read your article on Visual Studio extensibility. Good job! There is one typo though - in the line "In the text box provided enter "AVRStudio 5.0"", a comma is missing between AVRStudio and 5.0. The screenshot shows the right text though.

Thanks for the heads up and the vote of confidence. The typo in question has been fixed and updated.

If you never travel outside of Sprint's main network coverage area Virgin[^] offers smartphone plans with unlimited data starting a $35/mo. The catch is that because they don't have any roaming agreements with Verizon or other small CDMA carriers once you get out of cities their coverage is rather sparse.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius

New phone cost a few more dollars and has way more features than I will ever use.
