...well actually, under my car. I colleague has just chased an Adder under my car. Question is, where has it gone from there? Is it likely to drop on me, while I drive home? :~ OK, it's only about 6 inches long and a baby, but still.

The Adder probably met a Subtractor and now there's nothing left to worry about. :-D

It's probably in the roof lining making lots of little snakes...

It will need logs for that.

All is fine, the snake is completely worn out, it is an Out-of-Puff Adder.

While this is a bit malodorous, but mothballs in the front and rear floorboards of the car, and scatter a few under the hood and in the trunk. Snakes despise the smell of mothballs. I live in a swampy area and keep them under my house. Been doing it for years and no more snake problems (several close calls with cottonmouths before that). Give the snake a few hours to vacate and you should be fine.

Don't worry about it. My lady's 50lb dog caught a Mohave Green rattlesnake a week or so ago, and took 2 seconds to dispatch it. She got bit, but she's fully recovered. What's a little pit bull got that a programmer hasn't? Other than a penchant for gnawing the fenders off small cars, I mean...

                        Will Rogers never met me.
