So those of you attentive enough would know thatI had my 20th wedding anniversary 2 days ago. I'm just about to leave Canberra so I can get home in time to swap cars and leave for a couple of days away with the Missus. So I'm back on the piss to celebrate. I have my laptop and 3G Dongle packed, so expect a warm up post in 6 hours and then a wasted me post about 8 or so hours after that. I can guarnatee entertainment and wit, but expect the typing and spelling to be a bit shite. So now on to the eBook part. I bought a Kobo Reader months ago before Borders went bust. I recently found Kobobooks[^] and was pissed to find I couldn't purchase multiple books at once due to their lack of a shopping cart. Yes I did email them in my own inimitable way which they have replied too civily. I don't excpect the next reply to be so civil cause I've just gone off the deep end. I found the cunts stored my credit card details on their site and not just passed them through to their merchant. So lots of fucks and cunts were used. Now, the real question. Most of my book were O'Reilly, so DRM free, a Windows Server 2008 R@ book and The Accidental Billionaires are DRM crippled. I was able to download the DRM Free epub books without issue, the Adobe DRM Shit gives me a < 2KB *.acsm file. Anyone know what the fuck I am supposed to do with these?

Re your earlier thread on the topic of excuses for getting to Picton. Which one are you going with? btw you can add current weather to your shite list! Not going to ease up in a hurry. [I have tomorrow in the field with RFS, 0615 start. Not looking forward...] Good excuse to stay tucked up, I'd say. All the best to you both, Peter

That file is the digital ticket that the Adobe Digital Editions software uses to download the book. Basically you need to use Digital Editions to download the book now.

Well here I'll raise a nice sauvignon blanc to you and yours, I know your a beer bloke but I'm one of those north shore ponces who enjoys his wine. Besides if you drink beer sooner or later you need to break the seal and then you end up failing to pee into a bottle on a cheap airline. Have a bloody good weekend Mick

I have a Sony E-book reader, and was struggling with the file conversions. A bit of searching and found a much better (IMHO) e-book management tool called Calibre. There are a bunch of add-ons for your favourite reader that do all kinds of conversions, found with a bit of searching.

Didn't go with anything in the end. She had absolutely no idea where we were going. I headed south and she asked if we were going to the Hunter Valley. It wasn't until we hit the Picton turn off that she guessed. She didn't seem over the moon about it, but was happy to be going away. By the end of the weekend she had absolutely loved every minute of it. Great weekend, I enjoyed it too.
