This[^] (mag 5.8) hit about 200mi southeast of me, north of Richmond VA and rattled my monitors crappy dell stands enough to make them mostly useless for a bit.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius

Yep, just barely felt it in midtown Manhattan... Well, most of us did... One guy was kind of bouncing himself in his chair, so he didn't believe us until CNBC started talking about it.

Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?

Haha... Actually, his reasoning was that his market was going nuts, and he was freaking out a bit (He's an emerging markets trader).

When I briefly traded at my old company, I was shocked over how calm everyone was in our trade room. I was trading single lots and I was freaking out. I think I'd be more calm now.

Some people are calm, some are hyper, some can swing either way with the market... I've worked with some of each.

I live in central VA ~60-70 miles from the epicenter. After a couple of seconds it was pretty clear that it was an earthquake. Our building shook noticeably, but nothing fell off of any shelves.

We had a 5.3 in Colorado. 11:46 p the night before. Denver is too far away for us to have felt it. I'm happy to say. Trinidad, the town nearest the epicenter, is the middle of nowhere. Unlike the Virginia quake.
