The Indian Effect
-
OK, that's a provocative title, but I couldn't really think of what else to call this post. I've just reread an old article and there are comments from a number of our Indian CPers on it. Curiosity got the better of me and I started to read their bios. The thing that impressed me is how many MVPs we have amongst our Indian community, and how proportionately they outnumber the none-Indian members of the site who are currently none-Code Project MVPs. Given the fact that the Indian development community have been given a hard time here, I'd like to take this opportunity to say "Blimey, you're doing a great job" to them and remind people that there while, in common with other groups, there are a number of poor devs there, there are also a number of excellent one's.
Forgive your enemies - it messes with their heads

Is this a subtle ploy to have everyone vote kindly to the Indians, and by extension Nish so that gets out in front of JSOP again...
Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done. Drink. Get drunk. Fall over - P O'H OK, I will win to day or my name isn't Ethel Crudacre! - DD Ethel Crudacre I cannot live by bread alone. Bacon and ketchup are needed as well. - Trollslayer Have a bit more patience with newbies. Of course some of them act dumb - they're often *students*, for heaven's sake - Terry Pratchett

What a great idea. I hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it.

Actually, Indian fellows outnumber us in pretty much everything: It is just that there are so many of them !

We're still the best for drunken midnight posts!

Now that's funny, because people here in Brazil use to say I look like an Indian. :)
There's no free lunch. Let's wait for the dinner. Take a look at Scattered Polaroids here in The Code Project.

No, they say I'm Indian from India. Used to be "Apu" in the past, but more recently "Raj" :)

If it is any consolation to you, I have been mistaken for a Hispanic-American and have been spoken to in Spanish!
