http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/kdvr-two-men-accused-of-partying-with-dead-friend-20110915,0,7305454.story[^] Hopefully nobody is trying that! Anyways, what's everyone up to? I'm going to redo my home office, moving my beastly computer from the basement to the dining room and installing Adobe Premiere to begin my journey into video editing. Also, doing stand up twice and attending an advanced acting workshop. Oh, and sleeping, I don't do that much anymore.

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go I'm standin' here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say goodbye But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn Already I'm so lonesome I could die... Well, not quite but am flying off to distant shores in the morning. Yay!

Alas, I wish there weren't... Looks like those two slack jawed yahoo's with the dead buddy probably were going do the Bernie thing but lugging dead weight around is not an easy thing to do. I wonder if they were friends of the Testors from the previous post. http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4026172/fake-bomb-turns-out-to-be-dirty-underwear.aspx[^]

It was broke, so I fixed it.

Thanks! Yeah, the weather turned down here in Chicago, bonfire time soon. I can imagine it's probably chillier in North WI, my family lives in/around Rhinelander Did you guys get the smoke from the wildfires? It was crazy to see on my way home from work this week.

I love it up by Rhinelander, I am from the Fox Cities area. Yeah we got the smoke, the wife and I woke up Monday morning and she thought the camp fire was still going from the previous night. Everything smelled, even inside at work.

:-\ Oh, she'll notice. Goodluck! I won't be too much to notice though.

I'll be helping a friend do some spy work  He's in charge of the surveillance part of a bodyguard training course and asked me to help out. We will be following some of the trainees in a shopping mall and hopefully not be detected and record some footage using hidden cameras.

I'm going to be crawling about on my roof, trimming the trees that hang over it. This will be followed by trudging about our local community festival. At some point during all of this I have to finish shopping for the wife's birthday, most of which I hope to do online.

Blarghh! Seems I posted too soon. Got a followup from my sis, that as part of fixing the dsl problem tech support reset the shortbus* dslmodem/router to factory defaults which means it's no longer working in wired bridge mode to a non-crippled netgear router that I used to provide sanely configured wifi. Also, either something else happened to it (which would be fascinating since after I got them to link in bridge mode I couldn't access either routers config page), or the act of setting it in bridge mode resulted in the computer being "severely tampered with". @#$)(*#@$ morons. Even in the best of cases fixing it's going to take a while since I wasn't able to document the settings in the shortbus in order to quickly reconfigure it. * Name changed because I don't remember the guilty party - was some company that normally sells to telecom firms not consumers and it showed in the noxious mess of their config page.
