The deadly gas was CO2 leaking from the pop machine[^]. original thread.[^]

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. That is extremely odd. Does it seem reasonable that the leaky lines of CO2 could fill the room, but not 'escape' out of it. :)

I thought there was an odor? Isn't CO2 odorless?

We used to shoot the old CO2 bb guns when we were kids. Good times.

Supposedly... Maybe they add something to it specifically to give it a smell, like they do in gas lines... If nothing else, that might explain the odd taste of the so-called "beverages" at McD's :) EDIT: Then again, maybe not... According to Wikipedia[^]: "At low concentrations, the gas is odorless. At higher concentrations it has a sharp, acidic odor."

Some probably did, but the main body of the restaurant is much larger and has doors opening much more frequently to ventilate it.

CO2 is deadly. Evern seen the volcanic craters, full of CO2, that become death pits for animals that accidentally wander in?
