"David Davies, the MP for Monmouth, to point out that many people outside prison could not afford the channels. "It beggars belief they are complaining about this – I haven't even got Sky Sports myself," he said. " Not since he became unable to claim for it on his expenses, no.

I think you'll find he stopped subscribing when they dropped his favourite man-o-man Greek Wrestling.

it is their 'human right' aparently[^] I think they can fuck off personally. They gave up their rights the moment they took someone elses.

They have a right to adequate food and water. They have a right to not be tortured or treated with excessive force or cruelty. But television? Particularly sports? They should exercise their right to shut the fuck up.

I would say give them what they want. The first “Sky Sport” comes to mind is the parasitism. 5000 meters attitude will do the job. The parachutes will be homemade with a lot of care and love from the families of their victims.

Now I know this is going to be a very strange day because once again I find myself in full agreement with you. Cheers.

In the U.S. that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Free housing + free meals. Cells larger than my cubicle. Sounds like the life.

If I could concoct a crime that would net a million (a crime without victims, say importing a few hundred koios of cocaine), it woulod be seriously tempting given how cushy life inside is these days. :)
