Microsoft removes Google Chrome

I never even tried Chrome, because I really don't trust Google.

You're missing out then, it's about 10x faster than IE at starting up; don't get me started on firefox - and 10x better at everything

The only Google product I have ever installed is chrome, which I uninstalled days later. Despite the uninstall, I later found that a google updater was still running as a service, and replacing itself as a start-up item every boot, giving itself permission to use the Internet and send information from my computer to Internet addresses. If that's not a Trojan, then what is?

Assuming you attempted a clean uninstall, sounds bad, but then again not as bad as adobe's updater telling you "woohoo, here I am again, and by the way you have to accept some new terms and conditions again and reboot your computer! woohoo!"

Flash and java don't require reboots; beyond that I use foxit and refuse to install any iFailware on my PC.

Never had to restart for adobe. But I have to update after every startup :~

I've been using Chrome for almost a year now and it's the best browser I've had so far. IE works really bad for me (Google not showing search results, Silverlight doesn't work (the whole reason someone would use IE), slow, etc...). I can't say I trust Google, but then again, who is to trust? And if I wouldn't use Chrome I'd still use Google, so what's the difference really? ;)

I know that. It also doesn't require me to do anything except IIRC close my browser if I opened it already.

I'd love to use IE9 in place of Google Chrome, but its Silverlight implementation prevents me from using the Windows Azure Management Portal. Until that's fixed, Chrome remains my default browser.
