Drinks and a meal with Code Project legends Sacha Barber and Paul Stovell in London. Great guys, a good laugh and genuinely good company. What a pleasure it was to meet them, and their mates George and Steve.

Think we need a larger UK meet in early 2012? (get winter out of the way!) I'm sure there would be a few up for it, I certainly am.

When we had a departmental drinky last year we worked out the exact geographical centre of everyone who worked in our department and then found the closest pub, which was only about 100 yards away from that centre and in a forest. It was inconvenient for everyone.

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

If you can claim it is a conference or seminar or some such then I am sure many would be able to claim expenses for the travel and hotel, if not the actual beer itself. Anyone got a good idea for a title?
