Good news we have another project for you to work on. Sweet. So I pull up VS2010, point it at the project in source control and then VS2010 informs me: Silly rabbit, you can't open a VB6 project with VS2010. :omg: :omg: VB6?? Why? Why does VB6 continue to haunt me? I've been trying to leave VB6 behind for 8 years and 3 jobs now. So now I'm installing Visual Studio 6.0. The future is here! :sigh:

You'll probably be amazed at how fast and stable it is! (and no I'm NOT being ironic!)

Just tell them that VS2010 can't open a VB6 project, and that you have to convert it to C# as a result.

It could be worse. You could.... ummm... A raging horde of... errr... My ex-wife could... damn... The world could have run out of bacon and.... OK, I'm out. Nothing is worse than having to work on VB6.

Which leads me to wonder - does Donatella Versace or her plastic surgeon(s) use VB6?

That could explain a few things. Here face could be the result of a COM exception that blue screened the surgery.

I was slightly amazed that the project compiled once I got it on my machine. I was all set to have to hunt down some old 3rd party control on a 3.5 disk in a closet somewhere. And then hunt down a machine with a 3.5 drive to use it....

I have not read the other responses, but I have learned that VB6 will live on like cockroaches after the apocalypse. No matter how you yell, scream, shudder, convulse, complain, cry....VB6 will exist....forever.
