That's what I was implying. I was wondering if anyone would recognise the allusion.

Dorian Gray had the picture done when he was young and good looking. Maybe a bit too late for others ? :~

Not to mention what would happen when you accidentally look at it after a careless Google search...

And from the clouds a mighty voice spoke:
"Smile and be happy, for it could come worse!"

And I smiled and was happy
                And it came worse.

IBM(I'm Being MentalTM) just filled for a patent to naturally make the digital files age over time. Linky I mean if I want a photo to look older I'll apply a blodoy effect in Photoshop or Gimp or waht have you. But no, they want them to get old and one won't be able to recreate the original photo or document. This blows my mind just like the Lambdas code some threads below. Clever Code actually. Disclaimer: I'm Being MentalTM is copied from some comments. :)

Whats the benefit of this? If it applies only to digital pictures then what the fuck happens to the picture of my dog? If not then what fuckery is this, subverting the purpose of digital archiving?

Does that mean I will stay forever young and wonderful, whilst there is a image in a server farm growing older and more gnarled and corrupted?

We were just waiting for you to fling yourself onto a divan(*), and complete the image. (*) The Picture of Dorian Gray was required reading in high school, and my wife has an M.A. in English. 'Nuff said.
