US Accused of Using Tactical Battlefield Nukes
-
It seems that the US is being accused of using these devices in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is it true? Who the hell knows? You would THINK that if this were true, it would reported by the larger news media organizations, but none of them have reported it. I guess it's time to use google maps to see if there are any new glass parking lots in either country.

I think the first mention of it I saw was on Infowars and they link to an Iranian blog. There are other references on google, but since the titles are all pretty much the same (indcating that aone or more people are simply flooding the net with the story), it's real hard to consider it a viable story.

Not true: was heavily reported on the BBC (of course it was: they are quite biased). Not quite so widely reported the other way around: Gaza attacks: Phosphorus bombs hit Israel[^]. The hypocrisy is quite astounding.

We used phosphorus fired in Gaza war[^] [A] Member of one of Palestinian groups says bombs fired on Israel contained material collected from shells which hit Strip during Operation Cast Lead. Well, that's O.K. then, merely returning the unused phosphor.
Be dogmatic, not thoughtful. It's easier, and you get bumper stickers.- Anon.

Did you really mean it or did I miss the sarcasm. Israel has been using phosphor bombs against the Palestinians and no media ever reported it.
Actually, it was heavily reported on the BBC, followed by much tutting.

I didn't think WP was regulated by any treaties, so what's the deal?

"Article 1 of Protocol III of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons defines an incendiary weapon as 'any weapon or munition which is primarily designed to set fire to objects or to cause burn injury to persons through the action of flame, heat, or combination thereof, produced by a chemical reaction of a substance delivered on the target'. The same protocol prohibits the use of said incendiary weapons against civilians (already forbidden by the Geneva Conventions) or in civilian areas." - Source: Wikipedia[^]

Both only in regards to use on civilians.

What makes you think that a one year old child is not a civilian?

Was that at any point the debate we were having? Why do you extrapolate an argument to cover topics never brought up or related.

Yes it was, all I have been saying is that Israel is using banned chemicals against civilian population and media does not care about it.

IMHO, I was staying well within the bounds of the topic of this discussion.

No, you re just now saying "against civilian population" and the chemicals aren't banned, only banned against civilians. Also, on the other side of the story, is only Israel expected to follow treaties? Does Palestine?

ok, Israel is using chemical weapons that are banned against civilian use on Palestinian civilians. Does that now make sense to you or should I make it more elaborate. Had I known that you have a reading disability, I would have made it more elaborate in my first post itself.

Now playing by your own rules, this is definitely out of the scope of the original post's topic. If you really need an answer to this question, start a new post about this and I'll be glad to answer.

The conversation started when I said WP wasn't itself banned. You then went on a side tangent about Israel, which is not relevant to my original statement that WP is not banned. You truly are an idiot Shameel. I'm usually quite respectful on here but you started the personal attacks first:

My original post to which you replied was in fact about Israel. You may want to go back and read it again. It was in no way a side tangent. I hope you now realize why I had to make that comment.
