Think so. Nearly time to start packing the car with all the presents, get the tv's fitted to the chairs for the kids, etc. etc. Driving down to gloucestershire to the inlaws today.

That could be good, or it could be bad ... it depends on the in-laws! :)

It will be bad, it is in Gloucs! With the exception of Cheltenham, it is a pretty rough, rural, carrot crunching, in-breeding, neanderthal infested, low achievement, high unemployment and socially disadvantaged area. A bit like Norfolk, you'd love it there :)

I've been ready for a while. All I'm waiting on is a delivery via Royal Mail. I did try to avoid getting anything posted via our quality mail service (since they get quite busy this time of year) but I couldn't help it.

Did the kids (mine and assorted nieces / nephews) at the end of November on a weekend when my daughter was away with my parents. Other kids all been wrapped and under tree, just have to remember where daughter's are all hidden, get them down and wrap them on Christmas Eve. Oh, and get her new bike from my mum and dad's garage and work out what to do with that. Ordered all my wife's presents from Amazon on Monday, supposedly the last guaranteed day for free delivery and they have all turned up (at my parent's house to avoid being tampered with), been wrapped, and shoved under the tree. Bought a present "To Mummy and Daddy, love from ..." to me and the wife from our daughter, did this the first Christmas she was born and ever since, goes down a treat. Tip for you new fathers out there. Bought wine for my father, and my wife's father. Assorted crap for mothers. Toblerone for my Gran, same as every year. All of the old people supplemented with a school photo of my daughter, children can be very useful for such easy presents. All that remains is a HMV voucher for the wife's stepdad that I really can't be bothered fighting my way into town for. Christmas Day round the wife's mother's. Boxing Day round her father's. Tuesday round my parent's. No need to buy any food.

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

In our Christmas raffle there is a tube of Jaffa cakes a yard (meter) long! I'm kind of hoping I win it and dreading winning it at the same time.

What would you possibly do with a yard long tube?

I've wrapped all my presents, delivered all my cards and last night I bottled my Blackberry Brandy, Sloe Gin and Raspberry Vodka. So I'm ready! :-D What about the rest of you guys?

I'm sorted - Just went to get teh sausage meat, and a couple of bottles of wine. Turducken in the freezer. Tick! Potatoes in the ground. Tick! Sprouts grown nicely. Tick! Duck Breast Pate ready to be made for starter tomorrow. Tick! Presents wrapped. Tick! Cards delivered. Tick! Chocklates ready. Tick! Tree decorated. Tick! Then demolished by Dij. Tick. Re-decorated. Tick! Repeat until you feel like strangling the cat and eating him for Christmas dinner. Tick! Will have to go out on Christmas eve for milk and related perishables, but I'm pretty sorted.
