the sad part is, I could see it actually being true...Some people think programming is simple. "I can do Word" is not to far off comments I have actually heard myself..

Let's face it, after Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF! Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.

He wasn't saying the C language sucked. It was the humour of the posting by Jergan (Jerk off more like) and he was using a litotial metaphor to adumbrate the colossal ignoramity of the non-programmer, whose self belief belied his ability and for whom the word Programmer was, at his hiring interview, giving answers that were indeed clear, simple, straightforward and true, there is some difficulty in justifiably assigning to it the fourth of the epithets which have been applied to the statement inasmuch as the precise correlation between the information he communicated and the facts insofar as they can be determined and demonstrated is such as to cause epistemological problems of sufficient magnitude as to lay upon the logical and semantic resources of the English language a heavier burden than they can reasonably be expected to bear. He lied!

Good eye! when I read it I scanned over the town and took it as Islamorada, FL which is a real town. Brain working just in wrong gear.

And from the clouds a mighty voice spoke:

C never sucks, it rocks. Its the best language there is, and thats why its syntax has been copied so much, and why it produces such clean assembler. And if you ever have to debug OO derrived assembler, you will know what I mean! :) --edit-- Just looked at what the guy wrote! Ha ha, what a dick! Writing a device driver is not even about the C language, it is aout the complexity of the OS, and if it was Windows NT systems (XP, 2K, W7 etc) then the guy was in for some serious difficulty! And as for the jerks who hired him! Bet they did it because he was cheap and passed over the guy with years of experience! And they got burnt or it! Ha ha! If you want drivers, hire an expert. Indeed they are, and I've only had to write installers for them. The Windows DDK team is #3 on my list of development-groups-against-the-wall-when-the-revolution-comes (after the Bloatus Goatse team and the InstallShield team).
