I usually eat a very light dinner or no dinner at all. Breakfast and lunch are my main meals with a snack in between. If I could skip lunch, I would. :)

All through school I had the school dinners. Even on School Trips I had a Snap-tin. After leaving school I did occasionally have packed lunches but those were in containers, similar to the ones you mention.
