I have only heard of Nikolai Lobachevsky because of this[^]. Erudite as ever I suppose!
Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]

The Mathematicians[^] It tells you who they all are below the artwork, although the biographies can be a bit sketchy. For example, any top three lists of mathematicians HAS to include Euler. At any rate, I'm very pleased with the selection, but a little sad to not see Weierstrass, von Neumann, Ramanujan and a few others. It reminds me a little of this[^] photo of the Solvay Conference of 1927, in sheer awesomeness.

Notice the guy in the back row, 6th from the left? Grey suit, looking off in a different direction? I bet he has bare feet too. It's a message I tell's ya! You obviously can't tell whether he's dead or not - but I bet if you observed carefully it would be determined.

That's not true. Lobachevsky was also picked because his name was obviously Russian (cold war). :laugh:
