Just as the Daily Show makes stuff up, the rest of their stuff becomes illegitimate. Same is true for FOX (which started the false propoganda, thus the comment) and most deffinately for a youtube video. I noticed you critisize someone for using exmormon.org as a ref yet you just used a youtube video which you even point out has doctored info as a solid ref to Obama not being born in the US.

I think it started on /b/, but everything does so that's a safe guess.

I don't know exactly where it started, but for a brief explanation: The band ICP (Insane Clown Posse) has a song about miracles, in which one of the lines is about magnets and that it is impossible to explain how they worked, hence they must be a miracle. Internet trolls, (likely from /b/ as you mentioned) started hitting the mormon church online missionary chat, asking about magnets, as if they had some unique insight into how they work and they (the mormons) just refused to tell the rest of us, much like the John Smith refusing to let anyone else see the golden plates. Some of the trolls got pretty creative in their lines of questioning. Reading the posted chat logs were good for a few chuckles. Many of the missionaries even played along and things got a bit of humorous. The people manning those chats did consist of students around college age after all.

His politics have made the economic crisis worse. It has been proven before, cut taxes and fix the economy. It really isn't that hard, as complex as the economic system is, it still isn't that hard to fix.

Enough history goes to show that presidents generally "get the press" for things that were done by the previous president. The difference between Obama and Clinton is that the "blockades" are public. No one knew congress was stopping Clinton on most things he wanted to do, but it's public with Obama. I would like to see Obama in office one more time.

Where the HELL was gas $1.78 four years ago? It was hitting $4 during some points of the Bush administration. It goes up and down due to the whims of some rich people and the fears of some other people. It may be more complicated than that. But I've stopped caring.

Yeah, odd how gas can change like the market. The station buys it at (hypothetical) 2.00 a gallon. When they say gas is up, they still sell it at a higher rate. Then they make 3.50 a gallon off the same stuff they were selling at 2.00 a minute ago. Makes no sense to me. I remember two things. First, when 911 hit they got fined for price gouging. Second, when I was in Oklahoma the gas was steadily rising. When it hit $2.50 a gallon the first time people quit their jobs to find work closer, moved, dropped out of school ,etc.. It was back down in the first week to the last "stable" price and held there until after I moved. (this was several years ago).

Try googling it and take your pick. Not only that take a look at Historical rankings[^] I see no poll that puts Bush above Obama. Except this "Looking at the list of presidents since World War II, which one do you think is the worst president?" 1.George W. Bush (27%) 2. Barack Obama (22%) And in case you did not read that right, WORST president. And FYI Fox News is about as accurate as the Daily Show.

Absolutely not. No, I did not use it as a "solid ref." Ironically, you also used internet references to backup your side. There is always an article to support any point of view.

The real issue is Obama is not even (likely) a citizen of the United States which goes against our constitution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhKuunp8D8&feature=player_embedded[^] The first clip may be doctored but most of them are not. About what? Can you answer? What do you have a problem with? If you believe in the Bible you shouldn't have a problem with anything regarding Joseph Smith.

He was born on US soil, as I understand it. However, if that does not qualify then of course he should not be able to run as president. I am not a lawyer nor an expert on what qualifies on natural born but I do believe our constitution needs to be upheld, regardless of who it is.

Ah, but Mitt comes from a church that prays and baptizes the dead and forgotten, even if they don't believe and/or requested such posthumous renderings. He is also a millionaire, so he must be a financial genius among men...no women. Women take a back seat in the Mormon faith and Mitt is a devout Mormon.

If we are going to make fun of Mitt's faith, can we bring up the church Obama attended for 20 years? With the fanatical minister screaming about how "whitey is the devil"? (not hard to find videos online, unless you are looking at ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN web sites of course)

Still bitter over that thing a couple of hundred years ago. :) Obama is way worse than Bush. Obama is radical, leftist, socialist, anti-American, anti-Constitution, etc, etc. I saw a sign the other day that mentioned our gas was $1.78/gallon when Obama took office and now it is $3.70/gallon, how's that for change? Ya, Obama is no good.

It's simple really. His politics and socialist practices have deflated the dollar worldwide. That is a major contributing factor to our prices going up. The dollar doesn't buy as much as it used to.

If we are going to make fun of Mitt's faith, can we bring up the church Obama attended for 20 years? With the fanatical minister screaming about how "whitey is the devil"? (not hard to find videos online, unless you are looking at ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN web sites of course)

sure. I am not religious, nor do I believe in God. I don't want my country to be run on faith. I don't think I was making fun of the Mormon faith, if it came off that way, then I apologize. Although I am not a believer, I do try not to "make fun" of someone's faith. Pointing out what I and millions of other people deem to be facts, is not "making fun". Hurting sensitive feelings, maybe, but not "making fun". -- Cheers.

Absolutely not. No, I did not use it as a "solid ref." Ironically, you also used internet references to backup your side. There is always an article to support any point of view.

First off you brought up the point and only gave that link as your ref, thus implying your point must be true because of it, i.e. that is your "solid ref" Secondaly using youtube as a reference is by no means comparible to using wikipedia. Granted wikipedia is not the same as using a straight up encyclipedia, but it is the next best thing in todays digital world. It is truth controlled by the people. Sure things get messed up etc etc, but it eventually all comes together. youtube is for anyone to post whatever the heck they want so long as no "X" or copywrittenn material. By no means is it a solid reference. Using it as a ref is about as effective as saying its true because I said its true. Yes there is an article to support any view. However look at references to and from the article. Wikipedia is full of both. Thats why it is a decent source. This is why FOX is crap. They do things like "Some people say <Insert right wing propoganda here>" and get away with it because by FOX announcing it, they have essentially made their statement true but not the claim. For example, I can say truthfully "Some people say that ryanb31[^] is a FOX drone that was put here on CP to stir up controversy amoungst the programming community" I just said it so the statement is true. Wether the claim is true is irrelevent. This is a tactic that FOX has been using for years to push bogus propoganda such as Obama's legitimacy to the presidency.

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.
