I imagine that does wonders for communication. And meetings probably stay more focused, everyone is more polite, and disputes are settled swiftly. I think you're on to something here. The folks there appear to be a very pro-gun group of folks - it seems like a good number of people brings guns to work (leaving them in their cars of course). The work looks real interesting, too. :)

I don't know if you noticed this John, but you live in Texas. I would expect this kind of thing to be normal.

Texas isn't even the most gun-friendly state.

just out of curiosity, how are you leaving your guns in your cars? aren't you worried about it getting stolen? here's it's a crime to leave your gun in a non secure environment (which is why mine is in a secure location at home when i'm not shooting it)

Probably Nevada or Montana if I were to guess. I know the state I am in is pretty gun friendly. The problem is convincing the girlfriend to let me drop $5k for a 0.50 rifle.

What you are aiming for, Barret? In New Jersey you need a gun permit for a slingshot (no joke – it’s a law).

I am actually looking at the Barrett M98B 338 Lapua. But when I recently picked up my 12ga, the store had a Bushmaster 50 there for the same price. Here I need a permit for supressors and automatics. Getting a permit involves getting the county Sheriff's approval (which involves a few checks into your background) and paying your $200 lisence fee for each item. CCW is a seperate permit that isn't nearly as hard to get.

That few, in Texas? You mean have guns or bring them in their car? My old office probably had a 50% gun ownership rate, but they were headquartered in Iowa, my office before that had a few very animate gun owners (my boss's boss kept a stack of blank FOID applications on his desk, FOIDS are required to buy guns or ammo in IL).

What state are you in? A few weeks back my brother had the chance to buy an AR-30 in 338 for under $1k, but didn't. I didn't have the cash either.

Then you'd be surprised at how often it's NOT the case. As I've already stated, Texas ain't the most gun-friendly state in the union...

Pfft, like you even know what gun unfriendly states are like.

Wisconsin. The info I have is from the the owner of a gunstore where I would get my firearms in a relaxed area of the state, so it might not be 100% accurate. I haven't purchased either of the afore mentioned items requiring a permit.
