When your name becomes a verb at work...

Her name had become a verb (e.g. 'that code's been Peggied') I'm cleaning up components (WinForms UI and WPF UI) that are copy/pasted-and-then-made-unique rather than being abstracted (C# is OOP, right?)... She quit last week before this mess was discovered. I'm feeling quite Peggied myself. X|

You could always Peggie your 2 weeks notice. My name already is a verb, noun, and proper name.

Got a similar situation here, although we call our discoveries: Michaelism's. It was a large hardware design, written in Verilog, and a huge mess. The guy was obviously aware of define's (ala C/C++), but still hardcoded vast amounts of crap everywhere. No attempt at abstraction. Took forever to clean up. Ug. -- Ian
