Smallest was rather upset the other day, both her and another girl got full marks on a test. This gained her a 5 [marks are 1-5* with 5* top] and her friend got a 5*. I checked with the teacher and sure enough, Ickle's writing wasn't very neat and there were a lot of crossing outs and so she only got the 5 without a star.

No show == 0 +1 point for each correct word. -1 point for each incorrect word. We really weren't any good at French (and I didn't think of gaming the system). Mind you, not turning up was a feature of our group: we had a rota for RI attendance. Each week there were twelve pupils. Each week it was a different twelve pupils. The other twenty or so of us had an unofficial hour off. She never twigged, because she never recognised any of us as "should be there". And I didn't turn up for Games for six years, and still got average grades and comments on my annual reports... :-D
