About "Flame"

I just read an article about a "recently discovered" trojan-virus called "Flame". It seems to be a very good developed piece. Karpersky says they needed about 6 months to analyze "Stuxnet" and it seems the new one is about 20 times harder. At the moment the biggest infection is in the middle east, but they are afraid it will expand worldwide. It seems it has more than 20 Mb tool-kit apps spreading around the whole operative system, capable to activate microfon and record sounds, make bitmaps depending on opened software or visited webs, compress files, encrypt and even make a tiny virtual enviroment. Lets see when will it be "desinfectable" and what's the next coming up. Edit: Sorry about missing clicketies. I just made a quick search in google, at the moment I only find results on german newspapers.

Well at least its nice enough to clean up after itself if you aren't interesting enough. :laugh: But that seems like it could be the key to removing it, fake the delete signal and it cleans itself up.

Well at least its nice enough to clean up after itself if you aren't interesting enough. :laugh: But that seems like it could be the key to removing it, fake the delete signal and it cleans itself up.
I read that it installs itself, then gets contact with over 80 different places in the web and wait for instructions. I don't think it will be that easy.

This one is at the moment in the middle east as well, but I don't think it is going to stay only there. The only "nice" thing is the comment of Lewax "if you are not interesting enough, it deletes itself from the system". I hope it is and remains so.

Then again, it sounds like the usual methods may not be working, so easy probably isn't an option. (Not that I really know much about the subject, just sounds like it could be an exploitable flaw.)
I just stay on your "if you are not interesting enough, it deletes itself". This is my best weapon against it ;P
