you don't need it anymore. the path is broken into segments. click on the segment of interest.

In the location bar, you can click one of the ancestor folders to navigate to it (including the direct parent). So they basically have ancestor buttons rather than a single parent button. Makes sense to me.

I miss the whole elephanting toolbar in windows explorer. Now, I get a stupid thing which asks me if I want to "burn". Not sure what that means ? Is it "burn in hell" ? What's the matter with these Microsoft guys ? Have they suddenly got religion or what ?

I did at first; but now I've been assimilated. :sigh: The new way is better.

Press "alt+up" and done... Or any of the address bar fragments... It is muuuuch better than before... :thumbsup:

The new way is hit and miss, and sometimes just shows the current folder, for some reason. Lots of times an "up" button would be easier.

Indeed, that is a good label to apply to it. Though breadcrumbs sometimes show where you've been rather than just the hierarchy above where you are, and I wanted to make the point that the "button" didn't disappear... it just changed form.

That's correct, but you can use the back arrow to go to the previous directory. And if you think about it a search result does not have an upper level directory.
